Modern Manhood: The Podcast

This podcast will mostly concentrate on the lives and viewpoints of many different male voices talking about their own masculinity. The biggest problem we have as males is that we don't talk about our own experiences and problems about our own manhood. And that being a man now looks a lot different that it used to be, or that we think it is.

This podcast is supported by NextGenMen (nextgenmen.ca) and the Alberta Podcast Network. You can also find it at modernmanhood.org

So how we balance being a father, a brother, a son, and an ally in the modern world? That's what I want to talk about. If you would like to be on the podcast to talk about masculinity and your experience pls email me at modernmanhoodpodcast@gmail.com

Burlesque isn’t just for women and Greg Caswell and his band of “boylesques” are trying to change the way you look at high heels. Greg is the founder of the all male burlesque troupe, Man Up, who not only empower themselves with their high heels, but show a different kind of masculinity. One that they feel works to show off their own vulnerability, and in their words, take back the high heels. I was very lucky to speak with Greg on my couch so he could share his journey, from young boy to Man Up!

If you want to get a chance to check out the men of Man Up go to manupyeg.com for all their latest shows. The women you heard at the start are from the renowned burlesque troupe, Capital City Burlesque. They are holding their regular Christmas show “Santas Gone Wild” on December 17th. Check em out, they are a blast!
